Volunteer position
Development
You'd work on the actual product — this site and the CompeteSync app — shipping things that real teams use within days, not features that sit in a backlog.
What you'd actually work on
- Building and shipping features for the marketing site and the app itself
- Fixing bugs reported by actual Founding Teams pilot users, not synthetic test cases
- Working with Astro, TypeScript, and Tailwind, and picking up esports-specific domain knowledge — scrim reporting workflows, roster structures — along the way
- Weighing in on technical decisions as the app grows past its current pilot stage
How we work
Async-first, no fixed hours — you pick up what you can, when you can. The team is small enough right now that your changes go from idea to live in days, not sprints.
What you get out of it
Your code runs in front of actual competitive teams almost immediately. Direct exposure to how a product actually gets built and iterated on based on real user feedback, not hypothetical personas. It also comes with a free Pro account on CompeteSync itself.
This is an unpaid volunteer position — there's no employment relationship. See the Careers page for the full picture on why CompeteSync works this way right now.
