Careers & Volunteer Positions

CompeteSync is an early-stage, bootstrapped project. Right now, every open position here is an unpaid volunteer role — there's no employment relationship, and we want to be upfront about that before you apply. What we can offer instead: real ownership over a product still being shaped, a say in decisions that actually stick, and a free Pro account on CompeteSync itself for every position.

Why CompeteSync exists

Esports teams keep losing what they've built. A captain graduates, a coach moves on to a new job, a Discord server gets pruned to save space — and with it goes a season of scouting notes, tactical decisions, and hard-earned lessons that nobody wrote down anywhere else. CompeteSync is the place that knowledge stays, even as the people involved change.

Right now, that's a small, self-funded effort — not a startup with a hiring budget. Everyone working on CompeteSync today does it because they're genuinely invested in fixing this problem, not because of a paycheck. Which means we're looking for people the same way: not remote gig-workers filling hours, but people who want a real way into the esports scene while we build this — working directly with the competitive teams already using CompeteSync, seeing firsthand how they actually operate, and having a real say in decisions while the whole thing is still small enough for that to matter.

If you've wanted a genuine way into esports — not as a spectator, but doing work that real teams actually depend on — that's what these positions are.
